To configure your domain for DKIM, you will want to add a TXT Record to your domain's DNS file.

1. Sign in to the administrator console/portal provided by your domain provider.

2. Locate the page/section within your console/portal where you can update your DNS records, commonly referred to as Zone File(s).

3. Using the information provided by Redtail's technicians, you will create a TXT record. The information provided will be comprised of two pieces of data. A sample of the data is listed below:

Domain Key:

8f48ea0c-81cc-11e6-b304-cd4fa3e5478c._domainkey

Domain Signature:

v=DKIM1; k=rsa; " "p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQDGCjltfKIKmzhiMiMPXe/hgUEzfaoEx+87OtucpeZ0kajCfapuyGTmDuvonTy+ra5Fz+qjV6To1U/e9cp8FBfyZxx9/hc9E+jmBSXf1QGlwpe5srOSfQP85bkqSgRajSP/0b/ST6A4YVUo1LqgL3CKRK9ygflcKv4Xtr6G4OBtNwIDAQAB

Please note that domain registrars use different names for the fields associated with a TXT record. For Example, GoDaddy has fields named Host and Text Value, while Google Domains has fields named Name and Data.

4. After selecting to add a TXT record, you will replace the data in the field that contains the "@" with the Domain Key.

5. Next, you will leave the TTL to it's default setting.

6. Lastly, you will add the Domain Signature to the Data/Value field.

Below is a sample DKIM record that was added to Google Domains:

If you have trouble or need assistance adding DKIM, it is strongly suggested that you contact your domain registrar. If you do reach out to Redtail Support for assistance, it is best to provide us with the name of the domain registrar and a screen shot from the administrator console/portal showing the fields for TXT record creation.
