To the right of each portfolio row, use the ACTIONS squares to quickly move, edit, and create entities depending on the level you select.

 Representative Level (1)

• Review which Representative is managing the household, and their assigned Rep Code.

• To change the representative assigned to a household, use the Edit Household option detailed below.

 Household Level (2)

• Select  Run Report to view the reports that are available for this household.

• Select    Edit Household to access an overlay of the Portfolio Audit window that allows you to make updates without leaving the Householding app.

• Selecting  Delete Household fully terminates the household. Be sure that you only delete empty shell households, because this action cannot be undone.

• Select  Add New Registration to add a registration directly to the overarching household without leaving the app.

• Select  Move All Registrations to transfer the entirety of the household (all the registrations with all of their accounts) into the household displayed in the field for Household Two.

• Select    Hide Accounts to remove the accounts from your view so that you have a tidy presentation of the household with all of its registrations. This is helpful when viewing a household with a large number of accounts.

 Registration Level (3)

• Similarly to the Household Level, run custom reports as well as make any necessary edits to the registration without leaving the app.

• Select  Move Registration to move this registration with all of the underlying accounts into the household in the search field for Household Two. This option is used when only one registration needs to move, which sets it apart from the Move All Registrations option mentioned above.

• Selecting  Delete Registration fully terminates the registration. Be sure that you only delete empty shell registrations that do not hold any accounts, because this action cannot be undone.

• Select  Add New Account to access the New Account window pulled from Portfolio Audit. All you need to do is input the Fund Family and Custodian fields, and then the new account will be immediately added into the registration.

• Select  Move All Accounts to transfer the entirety of the registration (all of the accounts) into any other available registration that is shown in either Household One or Household Two.

 Account Level (4)

• Similar to both levels above, run custom reports as well as make any necessary edits to the account without leaving the app.

• Select  Move Account to move the singular account into any other available registration that is shown in either Household One or Household Two. This option is used when only one account needs to move, which sets it apart from the Move All Accounts option mentioned above.

• Select  Delete Account only if you are certain you want to completely terminate all records of the account and its history. In most situations, Orion recommends cancelling accounts as our best practice; please see How to Cancel an Account and Undo a Cancellation for more information.

Action History

Please Note: All changes made within the Householding app will save immediately. Take your time while moving registrations and accounts to ensure that you are moving them to the correct locations.

If you do happen to move an item to the wrong location, not to fear! Householding has an Action History log on the right panel that shows you exactly what moved, when it moved, and where it moved to. This allows you to quickly regain your footing and continue configuring your portfolios exactly how they need to be.
