Why?

• Save filters for field combinations of reports you find yourself using repeatedly.

What?

If you consistently apply the same filters to one of Redtail's Standard Reports to meet your needs, you can save those filter options and quickly apply them in the future without having to set them up from scratch again.

How?

• Filters are used within Reports to segment and sort the information you have included in your database to better find combinations of data you need for your daily needs.

• At the upper right within a report, you will see four buttons.

• Click the "Filter" button to open the Filter Options modal.

Filter Options is where you will select various pieces of information from database fields to sort your reports. These will include dropdown fields where you select one or many items, check boxes, toggles, etc. The data you select is typically based on the items that have been created from within the Database List. The Save Filter modal will appear asking whether you are saving it as a new filter or replacing an existing one. If this is a new save filter, keep the default as "Save as new...", give the filter a name, and select the "Save & Apply Filter" button at the bottom. If you are replacing a filter, use the dropdown menu and select the filter you are replacing. Then select the "Save & Apply Filter" button to apply changes to the old filter.

After you've saved a filter, it will be accessible at any time from the "Saved Filters" tab in the Filter Options modal. To immediately apply a saved filter to the report, select the hyperlink for the saved filter you want to use. To Rename or Delete a saved filter, use the action dropdown menu to the left of a saved filter's name.
