09/04: Recent Contacts Icon Relocated Next to Contact Search

• The Recent icon has moved from the right side of the header to sit directly next to the Contact Search field.

  • Data for the "Recent" menu preloads when the page loads, so the menu opens instantly.

• Advisors frequently switch between searching for new contacts and opening recently viewed ones.

  • Grouping these related navigation elements together reduces visual disconnect and friction in everyday workflows.

• What this means for you

  • Streamlined Navigation: Reach recently viewed contacts, Tag Groups, and Quicklists immediately next to the search bar.

  • Instant Access: The menu opens without a loading delay because the data is cached when the page loads.

  • Consistent Experience: The interaction model and responsive behavior remain the same—on smaller screens, the icon still condenses into the user menu.

• Who is affected

  • This applies to all Redtail CRM users.

How to get there: Look for the Recent icon immediately to the right of the Contact Search field in the Redtail CRM header.

09/10: Contact Roles Visible on Contact Overview

• Contact roles—Advisor, Associate Advisor, and Client Service Associate (CSA)—now appear directly on the Contact Details page for all five contact types.

  • Previously, finding this information meant navigating to Permissions/Roles.

• Advisors rely on these roles to identify who is responsible for servicing a client.

  • Surfacing the roles on the main Contact Details page keeps them within reach and cuts the number of clicks required for daily tasks.

• What this means for you

  • At-a-Glance Confirmation: Confirm servicing roles without leaving the main contact record.

  • Simplified Updates: Admin and Database Owner (DBO) users update these roles directly from the Contact Details page through dropdown menus.

  • View-Only Access: Non-admin users can view roles without edit access, helping protect data integrity.

• Who is affected

  • This applies to all Redtail CRM users.

How to get there: Navigate to Redtail CRM > Contacts > open a contact > Contact Details.

09/15: Duplicate Archive Domains Resolved

• Each email Archive Domain now appears only once in the CRM dropdown menu.

  • Previously, the same domain appeared twice—one entry displayed archived emails correctly, and the other appeared empty.

• Advisors depend on the Archive Domain list to reach historical client communications.

  • Removing the duplicate entry takes the guesswork out of selecting the right domain.

• What this means for you

  • Clean Interface: Each Archive Domain shows a single, correct entry in the dropdown menu.

  • Reliable Access: Selecting a domain loads and displays the archived emails for that domain.

• Who is affected

  • This applies to all Redtail CRM users who use email archiving.

How to get there: Navigate to Redtail CRM > Today > Emails.

09/30: Improved Special Character Support in Contact Names

• Ampersands (&) in contact names now display correctly throughout Redtail CRM.

  • Previously, ampersands appeared as HTML code, such as &.

• Advisors frequently use ampersands in business names and joint contact records.

  • Displaying these characters correctly improves the professional appearance of the CRM and helps prevent data entry confusion.

• What this means for you

  • Correct Display: Ampersands render as & across all CRM modules, including the Contact Overview, Search, and List views.

  • Accurate Exports: Reports and CSV exports show the literal & symbol instead of encoded text.

  • Seamless Editing: Save and edit names containing ampersands without validation errors or unintended character substitutions.

• Who is affected

  • This applies to all Redtail CRM users.

09/30: Advanced Search Accuracy for Contact Creation Dates

• Advanced Search now returns accurate results when searching for contacts by their "Created At" date.

  • Previously, an issue prevented these date-based searches from returning the correct records.

• Advisors rely on Advanced Search to filter their database for specific segments.

  • Accurate date-based searches support reliable reporting and workflow management.

• What this means for you

  • Reliable Searching: Searches using the "Created At" field with the "Equal To" operand return the correct records.

  • Consistent Results: All date operands, such as Greater Than and Less Than, work as expected when filtering by contact creation date.

• Who is affected

  • This applies to Redtail CRM users who use Advanced Search to manage their contact database.

How to get there: Navigate to Redtail CRM > Contacts > Advanced Search.

09/30: Citrix ShareFile Integration Stability

• Citrix ShareFile folders now link successfully within the Redtail CRM Documents section.

  • Previously, an issue prevented some users from linking ShareFile folders to contact records.

• Integrations with document management systems are critical for advisor productivity.

  • This fix supports a reliable connection between ShareFile folders and contact records.

• What this means for you

  • Successful Linking: The "Link to a ShareFile folder" button works correctly, so you open ShareFile documents directly from a contact record.

  • Clearer Requirements: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) settings in ShareFile affect the connection, so review them if linking fails.

• Who is affected

  • This applies to Redtail CRM users with the Citrix ShareFile integration enabled.

How to enable: Confirm that your ShareFile domain, username, and password are correct in the "Manage Your Integrations" settings. If an "invalid grant" error appears, use an Application-Specific Password from your ShareFile account settings, or temporarily disable MFA in ShareFile to establish the link.
