Why?

• Import contacts from Redtail CRM into eMoney as new clients or link them to existing clients to avoid duplicate data.

• Use the eMoney Spotlight directly inside Redtail CRM to see an overview of ranks, investments, financials, and more!

What?

eMoney Advisor is a financial planning tool that integrates with Redtail CRM by sending basic contact information from Redtail CRM to eMoney with the added benefit of accessing eMoney Spotlight from the CRM. With eMoney's platform, emX, you synchronize information between Redtail and eMoney, eliminating the need for duplicate data entry and helping you stay organized in your client relationship management efforts.

How?

BEFORE STARTING: Each CRM user who wishes to use the eMoney integration must have their own eMoney credentials.

Setting up the Integration

Part 1 - Redtail Setup

• Select "Manage Your Integrations" from the profile dropdown at the top right of your Redtail CRM.

• Find or filter the "eMoney" integration and confirm the toggle is set to "On."

• Click "Settings" under the cog menu for eMoney.

• The "Update Integration Settings" modal will appear.

• Partner Name: By default, all users are set up under the eMoney Advisor (EMA) option. Click the field if you’re under one of the other partners listed in the dropdown.

• Select your partner and click "Save."

Part 2 - eMoney Setup

• The remaining features of this integration require some setup on the eMoney side.

• From the emX Advisor Homepage, find the Integrations tab and click “View All Integrations” to access the emX integration selection page.

• Select the Redtail integration partners.

• Click the "Turn On" button on the Redtail information page.

• Enter your Redtail credentials when asked and click "Connect".

• You will then be able to synchronize information from Redtail into eMoney from the eMoney side.

• After the initial sign-in, navigate to your integration at any point by clicking “Integrations” and selecting "View All Integrations."

• Click Redtail to go to the integration within eMoney.
NOTE: If you click "Integrations" here and then click "Redtail" directly from the resulting menu, you will Single Sign-On into Redtail CRM.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To avoid creating duplicate contacts in eMoney and to see eMoney Spotlight within a Redtail CRM contact record, it is important that you use the Send To function from Redtail to move your contacts over into eMoney first, rather than using the Sync contact option from their side first.

Integration Functionality

• To use the eMoney integration, when inside a contact record click the integrations menu at the top of the CRM and select eMoney.

• The "eMoney Advisor" modal will open, containing two options:
  • Single Sign On - Use your eMoney credentials to SSO into eMoney.

  • Sent To - Send the data of the contact record you are currently accessing to eMoney.

  • When a contact has been linked, you will also have the option for eMoney Spotlight. More info below.

• You will be prompted to enter your eMoney credentials the first time.
NOTE: Each user should only have to enter these credentials once.

Linking a Contact to eMoney

• Go to a contact record in the Redtail CRM, access the eMoney integration, and select "Send To."

• After entering your credentials and clicking "Allow Access", eMoney will open.

• Fields sent to eMoney from Redtail CRM are:

• • First name, Last name

  • Date of birth

  • Email1, Email2

  • Home, work, and cell phone

  • Work Fax

  • Primary and work address

  • Employer / Company name

  • Title

• After using the Send-to from Redtail, you won't see the additional contact details, spousal info, account info, notes, and activities that you may bring over from Redtail by syncing that data from the eMoney side.

• To sync that additional information from the eMoney side, click the Integrations header in eMoney and select "View All Integrations"
NOTE: If you click "Redtail" from this menu - see image below - that is simply an SSO option into Redtail CRM itself.

• Click the Redtail icon on the resulting "Applications" screen.

• Choose the "Manage Clients" option:

• You'll see a list of your Redtail contacts (in alphabetical order).

• Use the search box to search for your desired client by last name.

• Toggle the name of the contact you would like to link or import.

• You'll see that you have the option with the contact to "Link to Existing Client" or "Import as New Client."

• You'll want to select "Link to Existing Client."

• After selecting, additional information will appear, asking to "Find the existing client in eMoney."

• If you click the "Search" button, all contacts with the contact last name within eMoney will be displayed.

• Click your desired contact.

• You'll see an option as to whether or not you want the sync to auto-link the contact's accounts from Redtail.

• After making your selection, click "Link Client."

• Once the sync has been completed, if you return to the client's overview within eMoney, you'll see that additional data has been synced over to eMoney.

• Going forward Tasks, Notes, and Contact data will sync back to Redtail from eMoney.
